Learn Your Practice is the perfect program for anyone curious about Yoga but doesn’t know where to begin. In 6 days, participants will learn from the very beginning exactly how to start implementing a yoga practice into their daily lives. We will be focusing on joint mobility, beginner asanas, breathwork, easy meditation techniques and more.
At the end of the program you will feel confident and empowered in beginning your journey solo in the practice of Hatha Yoga.

Classical Surya Namaskar
The ancient sequence of Surya Namaskar is still considered one of the most all around ways to stimulate all the joints, muscles, and endocrine system, etc. Students will not only learn the sequence, but have the ability to self-correct at the conclusion of the program.
Pranayama – Life Force Regulation
The regulation of breath is one of the best ways to tame the wild corners of the mind. Learn how simple breathing can take you into new levels of awareness.
Asanas – Postures
“But I’m not flexible enough for Yoga.” As a beginner, we start with union between body and breath. Working slowly and gently through various asanas not only provides therapeutic benefits, it also relieves stress and builds confidence.
Ashtanga 8 Fold Path
The Yamas (Restraints) and Niyamas (Disciplines) provide a framework for one setting out on the path of Yoga. The tenets do not in any way conflict with already existing religious teachings or methodologies. In fact, they deepen ones already existing beliefs. Meditation Each day will have a dedicated time to turn inwards, focusing all of one’s attention to the flow of the breath. We will also explore other easy and fun techniques to control the fluctuations of the mind.
We all have desires and ways in which we see ourselves living our best life. What does that look like for you? Throughout the week, there will be time dedicated to understanding those desires and how best we can achieve them.
Building a Practice
By the end of the program, students will understand the Surya Namaskar sequence for self-practice and have a clear template of additional asanas that best meet their needs and goals.
Certificate of LYP Course will be given upon completion of program.
Stay: Recommended accommodations can be arranged at the Anchorage Villa & Suites, just 4 minutes walk from the Shala. Rates will be 2000/- per night.
Duration: 6 days. The first day will include a brief afternoon/ evening practice. The last day will feature a morning “send-off” class to bring the entire program to a close.
